Welcome to Story Book Farm's Third Pie Baking Contest!! Any dessert pie, including, single crust, double crust, or tarts may be entered!

Homemade Pie Contest Rules

     a) This contest is open to bakers of all ages! (The Clara Baker Rule!)

     b) Pie must be entered in the name of the person who made it.

     c) Contestant may enter up to three pies.

     d) Each Pie must be made from scratch and baked in a 9” – 10” pie plate/pan. Each pie must be covered.

Enter a Pie

     a) Fill out the registration form above.

     b) On August 17, 2024, bring your Pie to the Pie Contest Tent at SBF100 between 1:00 pm and 2:30 pm. At this time your pie will be given an entry number, maintaining confidentiality of the bakers.

     c) A copy of your pie recipe, on a 3x5 card or 8x11 paper, with a list of ingredients must be provided with the recipe name, contestant name and phone number, at time of drop off.

     d) On a separate 3x5 card, list any ingredients that are common food allergens (i.e. “This pie contains nuts, soy, etc.”). 

     e) All contest entrants will receive a SBF100 Pie Baking Contestant pin.

Judging

     a) Judging will start at 2:30 pm. 

     b) There will be three easily bribable Judges.

     c) Criteria – Each pie will be judged on the following, out of 95 possible points

          i. 2 each - Overall best pie

          ii. Prettiest pie

          iii. Most unusual pie

 The winners will be announced after the judging is complete sometime between 3:30 and 4:00 pm from the main stage.

After judging ,pies will be sliced and shared with SBF100 attendees!
